Griffin

For those of you who don't know Griffin LOVES animals but sometimes he is a little mean.  Last Sunday he was hitting Petey and finally Petey had had enough and growled and swung his head at Griffin.  He managed to get Griffin under the eye with one of his teeth.  The cut was small but deep so Alex glued it shut.  The next day Griffin had quite a shiner. 

Winter Fun

It has finally decided to warm up a little here so Friday the kids and I headed over to the ice skating rink for some fun.  Dalton and I are the only ones who have ice skates so we took sleds for the other kids to have fun on. We did a little bit of ice skating and then lots of snow ball throwing and sliding around on the ice.

 Griffin biffed it pretty good a couple of times and I happened to catch him going down in this picture.

Bulldog football #7

Dalton just finished up his football season last Saturday.  This was his first year playing tackle football and he LOVED it.  He was a running back and got a lot of playing time.  His team record for the season was 5-2.  Alex helped with some of the coaching and I think he had just as much fun as Dalton.

Griffin goes to school

Griffin really wants to go to school with the rest of the kids, so yesterday he just decided he was going to go.  He put on his backpack and helmet hopped on his bike and headed out.  I let him get about a block away before I brought him back and he was VERY mad at me when I did.

School

The first day of school was last Wednesday (August 22nd)  My bigger kids all rode their bikes to school in the morning so I don't have any pictures of them at school just leaving on their bikes

Fenton is going to afternoon kindergarten and so I rode to school with him and went to a little parents meeting. (Of course Griffin had to be in the picture to)

The kids were not ready for summer to be over but they have been enjoying school.

Dalton's Sheep

A few weeks ago was our County Fair were Dalton got to show his sheep.  He did a really good job this year and took a first place ribbon in market class and a second place ribbon in showmanship.  In the market sale he got $325 for his sheep which wasn't as much as he was hoping for but he still made a little money.  This year was a little better experience showing the sheep than last year because he knew what he was doing better and was much more confident in himself.  Dalton was very glad to get his sheep sold and not have to worry about it anymore but he must have enjoyed it because he is already talking about how to make his sheep look even better next year.
