Potatoes

One of Griffin's favorite chew toys is potatoes. DIRTY red potatoes. If they don't have dirt on them he doesn't want them. He has had this weird fetish for a while now but I have final gotten some pictures of him in the act.

Samuel the Lamanite

Last week for FHE we made a movie of Samuel the Lamanite. It is Ethan's favorite scripture story so he got to be Sameul. Alex made arrows out of foam that Dalton shot at Ethan, and Anika threw socks (stones) at him. Alex (the director) really got into it and even moved the piano so that Ethan had a wall to preach from.

Manner's Tea

As a first grader Ethan got to participate in the Manners Tea on Valentines Day. All of the 1st graders learn some dances and perform them for the school and parents. Then they all have a tea were they learn to use their manners. Ethan's partner was a girl who has some disablities and so I don't think he had a lot of fun, but he was extremely patient with her and did a great job. After the performance I had several parents tell me what a good job he had done. His teacher and the teacher of the girl told me that he was so good about working with her and he was such a sweetheart to her. Ethan has always been a very kind and caring boy and I'm glad he is not embarassed to show everyone his sweet side. That night at dinner Alex asked Ethan what his favorite part about the dancing was and Ethan told him "It was the last time I have to dance".

Heat Wave

Last week we had ourselves a heat wave (it actually got above freezing) and so the kids decided to go jump in the puddles.

After the kids had jumped in puddles for awhile Alex told them that he would pay them each a dollar to make a snow angel so they all did it.

Cutting-up Elk

Fenton is definately taking after his Dad. He shot himself an elk (stuffed Moose)

and is now cutting it up to put in the freezer. His cutting tool of choice
