Our second day in Nauvoo was spent visiting the sites:
The Post Office - Fenton loved how they would write on and fold their letters
The John Taylor Home - This rocking horse was made by John Taylor for his son. After they had crossed the Missouri River his little boy kept crying about leaving his rocking horse behind so John Taylor crossed the river in the middle of the night and retrieved the rocking horse for him.
The Print Shop - the kids have been learning about the printing of the Book of Mormon in their Primary classes and so it was fun for them to see how it was actually printed.
Our Wagon ride
Cuddling up to stay warm
The kids and I with Grandma in the Cultural Hall. The floor of the Cultural Hall was the original floor were the saints danced and held other events.
The view of the temple from the Cultural Hall
The kids performing their own play on the stage of the Cultural Hall
"Rendevous in Old Nauvoo" was a musical put on by the missionaries. It was a favorite of Anika
and I. That is Elder and Sister Heaton from Alton.
